General information
La dolce vita, justified.
It is difficult to imagine a trip to Italy without enjoying its culture, food, way of life, but, if the desire and the economy manage to persuade you, the best thing you can do is to participate to a paid program like this one.

You will have the oportunity to practise the language and live the real country, not like a simple tourist. About the rest, you can already imagine: you can visit Roman traces, see Renaissance art exhibitions, stay on Medieval mountain towns, lie on the beaches, visit many churches, go to the beach parties. You can also satisfy the basic pleasures, like food and wine, and improve your wardrobe. But as much as all of this, a trip to Italy is about lapping up the lifestyle. It’s about idling over a coffee at a streetside cafe or lingering over a long lunch in the hot Mediterranean sun.

You will like it if...
If you really want to live Italy, if you want to quickly improve your Italian language, if you have much energy at work and for having fun.

You will not like it if...
If you don’t like Italians (unfortunately, somebody generalize it to a whole country) or if you don’t want to do many efforts.

Your role and the reason of the programme
Participants may be placed in different departments: Kitchen assistant, room maid, waiter, bar tender, reception, laundry personnel, entertainer, maintenance staff, general assistant, restaurant employee, etc. Work at the Reception is only possible if the participant has an excellent knowledge of Italian plus previous work experience.

The aim of the programme is to let the participant improve his/her professional and language skills, learning to share a new environment and culture.

Day by day
Once that the programme has been confirmed, the participant will be given a plan of the daily tasks.

Acerca de

Weather
Situated in the temperate zone and jutting deep into the Mediterranean, Italy is regarded by many tourists as a land of sunny, mild weather. However, due to the north–south orientation of the peninsula and the fact that it is largely mountainous, the country’s climate is variable.

In the Alps, temperatures are lower and winters can be long and severe. Generally the weather is warm from July to September, although rainfall can be high in September.

The south of Italy and the islands of Sicily and Sardinia have a Mediterranean climate. Summers are long, hot and dry, and winter temperatures tend to be relatively moderate, with daytime averages not too far below 10°C. These regions are affected

Getting there
Once that we confirm the exact destination of the participants, you can find flight offers through our web page www.puromundo.com

Places and food
With 44 sites, Italy has more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country on earth. Its great città d’arte (cities of art), like Rome, Venice and Florence, have been attracting visitors for centuries, and with good reason. At times, it seems like the country rests on its artistic laurels. This is not entirely true. Milan, the country’s financial hub, has created one of Europe’s biggest and most modern trade fairs and is planning a major residential development, the CityLife complex, in the heart of the city. Venice is possibly the city that has, in appearance, changed least down the decades but it has recently opened a sleek new bridge over the Grand Canal and a spectacular contemporary art space at the Punta della Dogana.

From art to food, from stunning and varied countryside to flamboyant fashion, Italy has it all. This is the country that brought us Slow Food, devoted to the promotion of fresh products and fine traditional, cooking. What started as a local protest against fast food has become a worldwide movement
